15 minutes
interactive web-performance
2010
webserver, website, webcam, notebook, PC, software, suit, hat
each about 15 min.
The performance 15 min. enables the visitor to take part and navigate the artist via computerised control systems (direction keys) through the exhibition. The visitor sees what the artist experiences by the use of a camera and a live video broadcast therefore one can use the artist as an avatar to come to the other persons knowledge.
The performance 15 min. transfers a control system, as we know it from computer games, into real life. The controls and the live video broadcast are built into a web site which is hosted by a notebook carried around by the artist. This enables direct controlling by everybody with access to a computer, equipped with an internet connection. Consequently the exhibition may be viewed from all over the world, without the need of first-hand physical presence.
